| COVID 19 Support offered to families of children with Special Needs : Interventions by Vidya Vardhini Foundation Trust: Our Trust initiated a fortnightly Community Mental Health Clinic in August 2018 in collaboration with LTMG Hospital Sion. The clinic has provided psychiatric consultation to about 300 people and about a third of them have been regular on follow up till March 2020. We have trained community staff who have been actively engaged in creating awareness in the community at various platforms (schools, NGOs, medical stores, churches, mosques, shops) and through various key persons like doctors, police personnel and social workers). We also have been providing patients with medicinal support at our Clinic at a concessional rate so as to ensure follow up of treatment, better recovery and wellbeing. |

| Intervention during COVID 19: |
| Besides our continuous support to children and families with disability and mental illness, during the past few months during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Trust has engaged in relief distribution to its clientele and has provided household supplies including grocery to 75 families in the community. To our clients with mental illness we have been facilitating Tele-consultation with the Psychiatrist and medicines at a subsidized rate from Sion Hospital. We would continue this approach till normalcy returns in the city of Mumbai. |
